The Beginning
Throughout the beginning of my senior year i’ve encountered many obstacles, and experiences due to a new stage in my life involving my own personal knowledge to fulfill desires and manage a life on my own. I personally don't feel prepared for adulthood, although i’ve heard it's best to start before you’re ready, and nothing goes wrong if i come with the right intentions and do whats right over what i want. In that case i’ve enjoyed to the fullest my last year of being taken care for, also never left it to chance, but created my own circumstances by action. Some friends have stayed others left, but i’m not surprised in fact it was pretty predictable deep down I always knew it just comes down to me and I make the decisions that shape my life. Regarding pacing i’m completing my work on good time only struggling on two classes because I had trouble focusing last year, but i found reasons to keep me going and the people I had to prove wrong and the ones that were worth doing it for. There exists talent in lhs although it’s a small school that just motivates us to stand out more. Over the past few years we’ve developed many programs that facilitate learning and teaching techniques that make the teachers even more knowledgeable.
For example the performance based system has allowed students to complete work that in other parts of the county would be out of their range to obtain because it allows you to move on ahead with your work, and it doesn’t matter what grade you’re in, now that is an opportunity to take advantage of the chances you get i myself completed arc welding assignments early on the semester and that allowed me to work on other classes that required more work to be turned in.
There’s one thing that i am really looking forward to in my senior year, and it’s something that keeps me going when i’m not feeling work motivated and that is the diploma that’s going to get me out of here even though once i'm actually out i’m pretty sure i am going to miss the school, the students and staff in general. The teachers and staff are supportive in which they motivate us into doing our work on time and influencing us to do what's right, for example ms.moore has always encouraged us to keep our campus clean to maintain a safe working environment, and put the example for our incoming classes, also mrs.forbus reminds us to always use appropriate language in school to not give out the wrong impression to other people. In the future i wish to come back to lindsay high school to observe what it has come into and how things are changing, since in lhs everything is constantly changing, but it's for the best because it just means we're flexible and willing to improve on our mistakes. For example the flex schedule allows us the opportunity to work on a class that we desperately need to catch up on, but overall i think lindsay high school is headed in the right direction with the right intentions.

The Process
I’ve noticed that both journal entries are similar in many ways so I feel as if not much changes have taken place regarding the differences between the two assignments journal 1 and journal 2. Although based on grading and pacing I believe there’s been many improvements on my part, now i feel more comfortable at school and I am not surprised by the assignments that are assigned to me by my learning facilitators they’ve been very supportive and helpful throughout the beginning of the school year, now i understand why they’re called learning facilitators, i’ve realized that they really do facilitate learning.
Personally I favor some of my classes more than others and sometimes that causes me to be more productive, but if I put the same intention and effort in all my classes i may be able to succeed in all of my classes equally. The main reason why I favor certain classes is because i like being hands on and construct or make something with my own hands, and actually doing something instead of sitting all period in front of a computer is a lot more interesting for me. Although in general i'm on pace in most of my classes, I have struggled in a few because in order for me to focus I have to be up and moving, and in my english and government class that’s not the case. Although regarding welding i’ve included great effort, and focus, completing all my assignments before they are due.
The only classes where I faced hardships and struggle would be english and government, for the same particular reason, I am completely more comfortable being up and moving while getting work done even though i’ve adapted throughout the years and completed work in certain classes that involve technology based assignments and are required to learn the use of a computer program. The class Arc welding/Gass cutting has amazed me and taught me a lot about discipline I have learned that everything is connected and learning the way of certain assignments will teach you how to complete others. The way in which i utilized that technique was in that welding and gas were somehow connected because as I welded a perfectly straight bead i also had to maintain the same steady hand and relaxed position as i did in gas cutting, both also utilized extreme heat temperature and patience. Practice from welding was also related to guitar because Mrs.Wills taught me, in order to master the technique you don't just try it once and expect it to get it right away you must keep practicing and trying different ways to see what works for you at least 50 to 60 times depending on how good you wanna get it. Res construction 2 has offered me the opportunity to complete my work outside building and constructing with my own hands, also obtaining credit for community hours while arranging good wood and separating it from the one that's worn out and that's a class i haven't had trouble with completing and maintaining myself on pace.

The Hard Truth
I personally enjoyed my winter break since a three week break from school is used up to the fullest and make the best of every minute it's not every day you can wake up with something else to worry about rather than attending school with graduation right around the corner, in that case I intended to spend it with family and friends I played basketball with friends went out to run got some exercise, and as i ran through the hill i imagined running away from all my problems so I sped faster and pushed my legs to the point where I couldn't feel them no more. Every time I am done exercising i get this relaxed sensation running through my body as if my blood was running smoothly inside me and nothing better than a refreshing shower after that. Later that day most of the family from my mother's side, and my grandparents visited us and my aunts and mom cooked a thanksgiving turkey in a completely different day then the normal, although i preferred it better that day two there was also turkey stuffing mac and cheese, mashed potato and gravy, chicken breast, legs, and now i'll stop typing that because lunch doesn't come until 12 at school and it's making me hungry. Christmas arrived, and so did all my family to a reunion at my grandparents which includes gift exchange by the grownups it mostly happens where they end up with the last person they would like to get a gift for so there's times where they prank each other for example once my uncle received money in a diaper, but it was not used though. Another tradition is dancing, personally from my favorites too, it's always better when my uncles are drunk because that's when they dance their best. New year's arrived and we decide to spent it with the other side of my family my parents side who also enjoy dancing and occasionally drinking just about 2 of my uncles do, just sit around a fire and speak about their lives although I pay more attention to when my grandparents speak since it's always words of wisdom, life lessons and their words are always so clear and sincere. I consider all of my family to have potential even though some show it more than others but something we can all agree on is that most contain some amazing cooking skills, and since most come from mexico they're used to cooking it with fresh vegetables grown by themselves, although the best advantage is of my grandpas profession in butchering meat cut into perfection which is also by raising healthy cows since good meat comes from good cows, and chicken soup is something that appears to be coming out more flavorful by every time they make it, chickens are also grown from the time they hatch out of the egg. Something immensely creative was when we needed blankets and we used sheep wool to maintain us warm of course after a cleaning process that took a while.
Finish Strong
I personally feel excited about graduation since i have been receiving a lot of support from my family and friends also, feel motivated and prepared for this post graduation. I have been doing the most from my opportunities, and taken the chances i got regarding completing school work. For example i continually stay after school to complete unfinished tasks or to get ahead. Overall attending lindsay high school has been an amazing experience and unforgettable journey I will always remember and cherish for the rest of my life.
Of course i have had some hard moments and bad days but guess what you can not appreciate the light before going through a little bit of darkness and you can either keep making the same mistakes or learn from them and improvise in the future. I have also learned see the best from things in my own perspective and intended to be strong mentally and physically in order to keep hoping and getting the best of every situation and circumstance.
Many teachers have influenced me to do better and taught me to keep my head up a lot of people believe one day they might just get lucky and obtain everything they want out of nowhere although I believe luck is not needed where skill exists. I still have work to complete and tasks to finish but I intend on keeping things organized to finish the work right and on time. My senior exit interview is my highest priority and i got the opportunity to receive the date around April which is a perfect amount of time to make it right.
Constantly doing work for school wears you out when it is done routinely in that case taking a vacation while being around important people from your life is ultimately necessary to remain positive in your life. So my family decided to go to yosemite national park and reconnect with nature and ourselves. We hiked up a long and steep trail that seemed to never end although it was all worth it when we reached our destination a beautiful waterfall a couple hundred feet tall and right in the center a rainbow followed its way to the bottom lake.
Hiking up that trail taught me a good lesson that nothing good or worth it is going to come easy good work pays of and the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Later that day in the same place we went to the snow or what was left of it since in these times of extreme heat not a lot of snow remains, but we started a snowball fight with what was left. I learned to never run in the snow (the hard way.) Going back camping there is something i excitedly look forward to.
